Artist's Description
My favorite birds in the wild are the crow. They are smart. They are communcative. They are societal. And they fly. In lines. They commute from the city to the country and then back to the city where it's warm for the night.
Sure, there are more colorful birds. Birds with prettier songs. Birds that fly in formation. I like them too. But there is a reason the crow has been ascribed as having magical powers from time immemorial.
Or maybe it is their reputation that attracts me. I don't know.
All I know is that I love to watch them on their commutes.
About Uther Pendraggin
I am just a guy. . . I may or may not have an eye for pictures. It's not really for me to decide, That's for you to do. . . I will take pictures of things others may see as mundane. Then I dig down into those images to see what is where. The tech does a lot of the work for me, I can't pretend. But the tech doesn't see what I see. . . Buddy of mine (this officially lets him off the hook for this) always tells the story of how when we would walk together as kids he would always be looking up and out and around, meanwhile, I would walk with my neck bent looking down at the ground. Well, Luther......I would absolutely love a recording of their chats, plans, ideals, like we do here in print reveal our depths thru the art and words, and, but, also, love this image, your descriptions, the moment grasped, idealized, your inspiration..... V. (says she now watching the starlings poop on the restaurant tables opposite my room with a view, and they sing too, when hungry.......it's all too much to absorb , being alive to these glories of nature, which rise above our earthly delights, through song.)

Uther Pendraggin replied:
I will be honest and say that this is my backyard. I got out of the car and the Crows were talking amongst themselves. First I recorded them talking. The I caught a couple of snaps. For so long I saw them flying to my neighbors trees. This year my trees are getting some crow attention. Truth is the Breughel's paintings were what made me aware of Crows. (see today's coincidence of that) Thank you so, for your encouragements of my work.
