Description
I believe it was Nabakov who once opined that it was a nice night for mothers. My sister, who is a great fan of Vladimir and also a mother thought it was a nice sentiment although it didn't fit with what else the writer was saying.
Then the aha occurred. He was talking about people who pursued moths. Moth ers.
How dare a man brought up in a different language make sport of our English?
I do (did) enjoy Nabakov. Lolita was not my introduction to him. Pale Fire (I believe) was.
Anyway. This is a png file, to be your own tee shirt.
Nobody else is going to have this shirt (unless I'm wrong, in which case I'll feel bad all the way to the bank. Then I will be all better.)

Om.g, Uther......what a vision!......Nothing like my dear old mom. We had these moths in the wilds of Muskoka, Ontario, and in summer, they terrified me.....they are huge! and bombarded us, at night when the lights (yes, civilized) came on, and oddly.....when they perished.....their wings turned to dust before our (campers/summer) eyes, and it got all over us, and so it is, for all......dust to dust ...Nabakov would understand. fv....VIVA

This one must be taking a break on the way to Ontario then. I never saw the like in the Hudson Valley.. Moths are wildly varied. And apparently very dumb. And yeah, when you catch them you get dust all over yourself.. thank you for being here. And allthat you do for here. Uther.
